The full time role of Design Assistant will support the A.EMERY design team and help take the products from concept to production.
The role will be reporting directly to our design and production manager and is suited to a recent graduate or existing junior design assistant looking to extend themselves and work across a full womenswear and footwear range.
Our Design Assistant will be responsible for product development, including liaising with suppliers, development of tech packs, working with pattern makers, coordinating samples and maintaining the range planner.
The successful candidate will have experience in the fashion industry, demonstrating a strong work ethic, exceptional attentional to detail and the ability to work both individually and as part of our small team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide administrative support to the design and production team
Assist with seasonal product development across womenswear and footwear ranges
Generate and continue to maintain tech pack documents
Attend fit sessions with the design team and clearly communicate all fit comments to suppliers
Manage samples including preparing samples for photoshoots and showrooms
Liaise with local pattern makers
Liaise with offshore manufacturers
Assist in managing all stages of the sampling and production process to ensure key deadlines are met
Assist in the management of critical path
Use PLM system for management of all products in development and production, data entry must be accurate up to date
Raise purchase orders and production orders
Assist the design team with fabric and trim sourcing
Management of fabrics, trims and approvals library
KEY SKILLS:
Maintain brand positioning ensuring appropriate and professional representation at all times
Driven, efficient and enthusiastic individual with a curiosity and passion for the industry
Extremely organised with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work within a fast-paced environment
Confident learning new software programs and proficient in excel and Adobe suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work well independently and within the team
Candidates who progress to interview stage will be required to complete a small task as part of the interview process.
